Privacy Policy

No accounts, no sign-ups

ServoSpy doesn't require you to create an account. There's no login, no email collection, no personal profiles. You open the site, you see prices. That's it.

Location data

If you tap "Enable" on the location prompt, your browser shares your coordinates with us so we can show nearby stations and drive times. This data:

• Is only used in the moment to calculate distances
• Is never stored on our servers
• Is never shared with anyone
• Can be revoked any time in your browser settings

If you don't share your location, ServoSpy still works — you'll just see statewide prices instead of nearby ones.

Local storage

We save a few small preferences in your browser's local storage (not cookies):

• Your fuel type choice (unleaded or diesel)
• Recent suburb searches for convenience

This data never leaves your device. You can clear it any time in your browser settings.

No cookies, no tracking

We don't use cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts. We don't build advertising profiles. We don't sell data because we don't have any to sell.

Third-party services

ServoSpy uses a few external services to function:

• Cloudflare — hosts the site and caches data. They may process standard web request logs (IP addresses, etc.) as part of their infrastructure.
• Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on the site. Google may log font requests.
• Mapbox — provides drive time estimates. Your approximate origin and destination are sent to calculate routes, but not tied to any identity.
• Leaflet / OpenStreetMap — renders the map tiles.

Data source

All fuel prices come from the NSW Government's FuelCheck API. We don't collect or process any information about you to fetch this data — it's the same public data available to everyone.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle data (unlikely — we like keeping things simple), we'll update this page. We're not going to start collecting your data out of the blue.
